Who Am I?

The Bartaba is the women's low boot that will leave its mark on the history of Patricia Blanchet. Perfectly designed by Patricia to enhance your silhouette, the Bartaba high heel boot in champagne metallic printed nubuck will delight the most demanding feet. The Bartaba women's low boot reinvents the low-cut boot and offers a punk line with its new high, thick, rounded heel. The Bartaba high heel women's low boot reaches a height of 8 cm. The Bartaba bootie has a superb gold line embellishment on the back. The Bartaba boot has an invisible elastic band on the inside of the foot for easy slip-on.

Material and Care

The leather used by Patricia is of the highest quality, but like all fine materials, it requires a great deal of care. This is important if you want your shoes to be in excellent condition at all times. To care for leather, you need to nourish it with a generous greasy cream that will give it a wonderful complexion. Use a waterproofing cream rather than a spray, and avoid prolonged exposure to sun and water. If you want to give the colour a boost, you'll need to apply a coloured shoe polish. Your cobbler will certainly be able to help you with this. Make sure you remove the protective plastic from the soles before wearing your shoes, once you're sure you won't be returning them for a refund, and don't wait too long to have your soles fitted with a no slip pad by an experienced cobbler. Areas to avoid when wearing Patricia shoes: the Amazon, the Sahara, the Tundra, the Arctic Circle, punk concerts, shooting galleries, bowling alleys, the New York Marathon, the underground on strike days and extremist party meetings.

Of course, before my family got into the shoes business, they went through various stages. There was the Greek grocery shop on boulevard Richard Lenoir, among other things. But my father didn't know much about olives or feta and after 6 months of a business as flat as a government member's encephalogram, he had to pack up.

Which makes for a great transition, because just after that, my parents opened a shop dedicated to travel and, more specifically, travel bags, but it happened to fall just at the time of the first oil crisis. As a result, people travelled a lot less. As a result, after less than a quarter, they had to close up shop. Which brings me to a crazy transition: my father decided to become a locksmith as a result. But there again, the door stayed closed.

Running on empty, my mother had a stroke of Chinese genius.

She decided to invest their last pennies in a bar-tabac on the outskirts of Gennevilliers. I grew up there from the age of 3 to 6. It's where I drank my first half pint (with grenadine I might add).
Where I smoked my first Marlboros. Where I talked philosophy while shooting aliens in Space Invaders. Which is why I thought it would be a good idea to name this splendid boot Bartaba. As a nod to my creative power and my past.
