WINONA FOREVER
Articles are like love stories, they usually end well.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to my latest beauties, and to wish a happy birthday to Winona Ryder, whom I met over twenty years ago when I was a student in the US and loved studying design as much as I loved their distinctive way of making delicious cocktails. And while I was playing pool by myself, waiting for a possible plan to sound on my pager, a young twig, trembling like a leaf came to sit under my gaze, downing a beer as if it were water. A rivulet of blood trickled from her right nostril. I thought it was drugs. Then she started crying like a madeleine from Ladurée. I went over to her side, took her in my arms and put my jacket on her back to stop her shivering.
She began to tell me all about her life, her anxieties, her desire for anonymity, her boyfriend, his jealousy, his alcoholism and his nasty habit of coming down on her as soon as he'd had too much to drink. So I became her confidante, I comforted her, I offered to come to my house for as long as she wanted, and before i could see it coming, she kissed me.
She was very cute, but I didn't expect that much. And that's when a guy came along, all disjointed from too much booze. He walked right up to us and pulled us apart by our hair. The bastard nearly ripped my head off. And just as I was about to hit him, I recognized Depp. And if Depp was Depp, then the one who'd kissed me was Wynona. No matter how much of a man i was, this Wynona made me fantasize. Yet at the sight of her boyfriend, she changed radically and rushed into his arms, taking refuge, like a blanket, in those of a little girl.
She left the bar, making me promise not to tell anyone, and that maybe one day fate would bring us together again.
Now you know why Wynona Will always be in my heart of gold.
