ROADMAP TO THE STARS - 04/05/21
Today is May the 4th. Well, the 4th there have been some really cool things happening, and some really heartbreaking ones too. But what matters is what you do with May the 4th 2021.
How will you make history? Because that's what we're talking about. Something extremely important is about to happen to you. It's up to you to decide whether you want to be wearing just any old pair of shoes, or whether you want to treat your feet to the most prestigious footwear available. For my part, I'm sending you the most appropriate footwear for the crazy moment you're about to experience.
Well, a 4th, whatever happened in the world? Well, in 1979 Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister, with all the harshness we know about her. And Morrissey won't contradict me on this.
Then there was the untimely death of Adam Yauch, one of the three Beasty Boys and, some would say, the group's master thinker. Fortunately, he left us something to feast on from time to time.
Well, apart from that, today May the 4th is also a Star Wars day: "May the 4th be with you". But above all, May 4th is the day Pia Zadora was born in 1954. And what did Pia Zadora do apart from singing When the Rain Begins to Fall, a duet with Jermaine Jackson? Well, quite a lot of rubbish.
She appeared in Santa Claus conquers the Martians, listed as one of the worst films ever made, and during her career received various awards for being the worst artist of the century.
But above all, for those of you who read this newsletter, in 1988 the couple she formed with Meshulam Riklis bought Pickfair, the home of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, which I mentioned on Friday.
A house that they will have demolished to rebuild their own. In short, a just great people.
Obviously, I couldn't let you leave this newsletter without letting you listen to a bit of BB.
