THIS IS HALLOWEEN, THIS IS HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS SCREAM IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT
Welcome to Blanchet's town.
Here we are. It’s time to celebrate our dead in the most beautiful way. By thinking of them, of course, but also by adorning yourself with your finest shoes.
But there are other ways to celebrate this. By watching Coco, probably the last Pixar film worth seeing, or The Nightmare Before Christmas, or any movie with Alain Chabat. Why Alain Chabat? I don’t know. I was at the physiotherapist this morning, getting my shoulder tendonitis treated, and wouldn’t you know it, he started talking about Chabat. I loved Chabat when I was 13-15 years old: it was subversive, silly, and never mean.
His transition to longer formats, like the writing for Saturday Night Live, or when he ventured into directing feature films, was more challenging for me. But that's just my opinion. And you know, since you've known me, that my taste is quite right, in line with the shoes I imagine for you.
But let’s get back to our topic. What interests us here is the ability to properly celebrate our heritage. Those who left us with a burden, a shock. Things they didn’t manage to resolve before leaving our world, which now compel us to absorb.
"Well, yes, you might tell me that we ourselves chose our incarnation to take on a challenge: to understand the meaning of life. Others before me have tried to answer this, like the Monty Python. Their answer? The meaning of life is to not make others suffer. It's clear, it's obvious. And it is in this spirit that I wish to accompany you, envisioning what is most wonderful for you to wear.
Shoes are a spotlight on who you are. They impose your aura, your charisma. Of course, one must think about what has preceded and shaped us, but the most fundamental is ahead of us, whether it's in a few seconds or a few weeks. It's hard to undo double knots, just like the past. However, we can influence what lies ahead, and there is no better accessory for that than a pair of Patricia Blanchet.
