Instead of entrusting all this to Elle or other soulless advertising magazines, I wanted to entrust you with the origins of one of my days like today. Enjoy my patriciettes de amor.

6:01: I get up and do a few warm-ups. Wrists, knees, ankles, mouth, thighs, buttocks. 6:20: I drink a large glass of water, take a vitamin pill and take the hotel stairs to the beach for a fitness jog. 6:25: I start running. 6:30: I take a break, not being used to running along the beach. The sea air, no doubt. 6:50: I start running again with a sudden side stitch that forces me to end my session.

7h05: I hobble back up the stairs and lie down for a restorative micro-nap.

7h15: I go down to the hotel buffet. After a good workout, I eat nothing but fruit: apples and bananas. I don't want to strain my body in the process of digestion.

8h00:Locked in my office at the factory, I gather my ideas to start the collection. 8h10:I go down to the machine to buy a Mars bar. The apples were good, but as big as cherries. I get hungry.

12h00: I've already drawn about fifteen models. Delighted with my output, but with an empty stomach I head back to the machine for a Snickers bar. The Spaniards are lovely, but have a late lunch.

14h00:We finally sit down for lunch. I was so hungry I almost went into a coma. The restaurant is very simple, nestled in the mountains, but it looks very good. The factory owner is very cheerful, happy that we're working together. He orders a Rioja. I don't drink at lunchtime. But I'm very hungry and the waiter still hasn't come to take our order, so I devour the aioli and ask for a second, deeper pot.

14h30: The waiter finally arrives. I'd planned to eat light, but since I don't know how late I'll be working, I decided to play it safe, so I order two tapas starters and a meat pasty. I don't drink at lunchtime, but as my Spanish colleagues insist and I don't want to disappoint them, I accept a glass. Then two. It has to be said that the meat deserved a shot of red.

16h30: After a gargantuan lunch that ended with a colonel (a dessert made with lemon and vodka ice cream), we return to the factory where I resume my drawings.
19h00: I've sketched thirty more models. I'm pretty pleased with myself, even if I have to watch my judgement given the four bottles of Rioja, downed by 3 of us.

19h10: I talk to the model-maker about the manufacturers we'll be meeting tomorrow: heels, leathers, soles. Everything has to be impeccable, because the whole world is counting on me. It's very exciting, because I realize that we're going to put together a very fine collection.

19h20: The factory closes. Normally we'd work until much later, but it's a holiday in this part of Spain and I have to get back to Alicante.

20h00: I go down to the gym but all the machines are taken except the treadmill. And I don't like running on that kind of machine. Only the open air suits me. So I go up to the bedroom for a shower and to work a bit more on my sketches. And surprise, I discover on my bed a bottle of cava offered by the factory boss. I don't like opening a bottle only to drink one glass. 21h30:It would have been wrong of me not to pop the cork on this wonderful cava I didn't know. After all, one bottle is only six glasses. Refreshed, I go down to the restaurant to soak up the bubbles. The place is full.

21h45:I go out onto the harbour in search of a kebab or an organic restaurant.

22h00: With everything fully booked, I find myself in a crowded restaurant in the center of town, with only one seat left at the bar. I sit down and am served another glass of cava without having asked for anything. At the other end of the bar is a guy, certainly English. He looks like Hugh Grant. I don't much like twinks. But I smile at him.

23h45: Having tried all the tapas on the menu, the Englishman in question wants to show me a place he really likes, where he'd been the day before. 

Midnight:We land in a hidden bar, a sort of updated speakeasy where the craziest cocktails ever tasted are mixed.
