A NEWSLETTER THAT CHALLENGES THE PATRIARCHY
You'll be so happy after reading this.
I don’t know about you, but this morning when I got up, I almost put on two mismatched socks. Then I thought it might be a sign to write to you and share a special moment together. After all, it’s Friday, November 29th, and they say it’s the perfect day to feel invincible (or at least to try).
Do you know what happened on November 29th? In 1899, a certain Emma Morano was born, an Italian woman who lived to the age of 117! Yes, you read that right. She lived through three centuries, two world wars, and survived by eating one raw egg a day and staying single after an unhappy marriage. A true rebel ahead of her time, don’t you think?
Emma reminds me of all those strong women who, like you, aren’t afraid to carve out their own path, even if it’s lined with obstacles (or high heels on cobblestones, which is pretty much the same thing). Speaking of heels, let me share a little story.
The other day, I was walking down the street in my new Patricia Blanchet boots (yes, subtle self-promotion is an art form), when suddenly, a young woman stopped me and said: “I love your shoes! They make me want to conquer the world… or at least ask my boss for a raise.” We laughed, and it reminded me why I do this job: to give you not just shoes, but also a dose of confidence.
So, if this weekend you feel like challenging conventions, or simply matching your socks (personal challenge), I invite you to discover our new collection. Designs that combine boldness and elegance, perfect for those who, like Emma, live life on their own terms.
Before letting you head off to new adventures, I want to thank you. Yes, you. For your boldness, your humor, and for reminding me every day why I create shoes that bring a smile to your feet (and your heart, let’s be poetic).
So don’t forget: walk as if the sidewalk were a runway, laugh at your mismatched socks, and above all, keep being the extraordinary women that you are.
With all my affection and a touch of mischief,
Patricia
P.S.: If you ever come across a chicken on a quest for raw eggs, tell her Emma would be proud.
