And why did I want to pay tribute to Radiohead? Because I went to see them in concert in 1992 or 1832, I don't remember, and when I got back from the venue in Manchester, I couldn't find a car to take me back to the hotel. And yet I was young and pretty. Despite this and my thumbs-up, no car would stop. Desperate, I stopped hitchhiking and walked, walked, walked for long minutes in the freezing rain.
Mais moi, ce qui m’a arrachée au sol, ce qui m’a donné envie de hurler, de mordre, d’aimer, c’était pas Ridley. C’était son frère. Tony. Tony Scott, le sale gosse. Celui qui filmait comme on se shoote à l’adrénaline, caméra en bandoulière, un peu tremblante, sueur au front, hard rock de supérette dans les oreilles. C’était Top Gun et ses avions de combat qui virevoltent le ciel. C’était True Romance, surtout. True Romance. Ce film qui m’a ouvert le crâne comme une boîte de conserve.

Tony Scott, c’était pas du cinéma. C’était parfois de la pub. Mais, de temps à autre, une fois sur deux, trois, il arrivait à sortir une pépite folle. En tout cas qui me rendait maboula. Et au fil du temps, j'ai pu remarquer que son frère Ridley lui avait emprunté son style de mise en scène un peu cliquant, un peu suranné, mais avec moins de panache et de justesse.
Alors cette chaussure, cette TonyScott, c’est un hommage. Un cri qui vient de l'intérieur. Une façon de dire que parfois, il faut aimer fort, vite, et tant pis si ça laisse des cicatrices comme l'aurait si bien chanté Francis Lalanne. C’est pour toutes celles qui vivent très intensément, qui embrassent trop fort, qui brûlent les feux rouges en plein désert et qui hurlent leur désir dans la nuit, la tête pleine de bigoudis. C’est pour celles qui savent que l’amour, c’est un flingue chargé à blanc. Et qu’il faut bien tirer pour savoir si on a une chance.
