Sam Shepard un nom en allitération, presque. En 1985 il avait déjà un bon bout de carrière derrière lui comme sa participation à l'Étoffe des Héros, le plus beau film sur la conquête spatiale. Aux Moissons du Ciel, le plus beau Terence Mallick. Oui je suis ainsi, je donne un avis tranché et évite les hésitations.

Moi déjà à cette époque je ne rêvais pas d'Hollywood ou de faire du skate en dévalant Sunset, mais bel et bien de réfléchir au futur de la chaussure, ne jamais devenir le bémol de la grolle, bien au contraire. Nous avons passé quatre autres jours ainsi, collés l'un à l'autre. A se faire des promesses de pacotille. Et ce n'était pas grave, cela faisait partie du jeu romantique. Cela faisait du bien à nos corps, à nos cellules en leur prodiguant de la hauteur et de la légèreté. Je l'ai accompagné à l'aéroport en bus.
