My dear free and luminous souls .

It's the 18th, so I'm going to cheat a little and talk about yesterday.

On this February 17th (okay?), I'd like to take you on a little detour to Hollywood. Why? Because in 1976, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest won five Oscars on that very day. A feat that perfectly reflects the free and rebellious spirit that drives us at Patricia Blanchet: madness. Shared madness. Fake madness. Call it whatever you like, but madness. Or let’s call it singularity.

For the record, the film is adapted from Ken Kesey's cult novel, and it was shot in a real psychiatric hospital in Oregon (where I spent part of my studies and where I was deflowered a second time – a strong but accurate term). Suffice it to say, the team was plunged into an atmosphere that was, to say the least… intense. Real patients even served as extras, giving the film an authenticity that was far from fake.

At the helm was Milos Forman, who had to fight to impose his uncompromising vision. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest became only the second film in history to win Oscars for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Screenplay, AND Best Picture. Jack Nicholson, constantly improvising on set, contributed to the almost electric energy that makes the film utterly insane.

You’re probably wondering: "What’s the link between escaping from a psychiatric hospital and your little feet?" Well, it’s very simple: at Patricia Blanchet, we celebrate freedom, gentle madness, and the irresistible need to shake up the status quo. Just like Jack Nicholson breaking the rules in the film, I love to break the dull routine and offer creations that push the boundaries. My shoes are my way of saying no to anything that traps you in the overly rigid, and yes to boldness.

So, on this February 17th, let yourself be inspired by the madness of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Treat yourself to this overdose of rebellion – in a "beauty for your feet" version. Remember: sometimes, all it takes is one step, one decision, to change everything. Why not start with the pair that will high-five your confidence?
